 I was the outgoing, creative kid who loved art, music, and any project that let me express myself and connect with others. I spent my early childhood surrounded by family warmth, big gatherings, and the kind of love that always felt like home. Growing up in NJ, a true melting pot of cultures and stories, sparked my curiosity about people and the world. My parents have always been my greatest inspiration and shaped my core values of kindness, resilience, and a deep desire to create spaces that feel safe and uplifting.

I began stepping into my future behind the chair long before I realized it. As a teenager, I styled friends’ and family’s hair before events, experimenting with different textures and styles. These were moments that planted the seeds of what would become my career, a blend of creativity, human connection, and community. When it came time to choose a path, my mom encouraged me to follow what truly lit me up, and her support led me to beauty school, where I fell in love with both the visual and technical sides of the craft. In those early salon days, working in both independent and corporate spaces, I realized this work was about so much more than hair, it was about listening, holding space, and helping people feel like their most authentic selves. In my heart, I knew this was my calling.

Over the years, I had experiences that opened my eyes to how expansive this industry truly is and deepened my passion for sharing knowledge, building community, and lifting up the stylists coming behind me.  I was also with a hair-restoration company for several years, where I grew through multiple roles, taught me how strong systems, leadership, and education can transform the client experience. That chapter opened the door for me to relocate to West Palm Beach, where I continued honing my craft before stepping into my own private suite. Advanced education, Master Colorist training, and multiple certifications in treatments, color, and extensions with reputable brands now allow me to blend creativity with science and deliver results that are both beautiful and healthy. Maria Moves My Hair has grown into a space where luxury color, modern cutting, and mindful product choices come together. 

Becoming an independent stylist gave me the freedom to bring all sides of myself to the chair; the artist, the educator, and the woman devoted to thoughtful, sustainable beauty. Through years of hands-on experience, I’ve seen the difference that clean, organic, and naturally derived products make, which is why I am committed to using only high-performing lines that support your hair’s health without compromising your well-being or the planet. Today, every appointment is a collaboration: I specialize in personalized color, cuts, and styles that honor your natural texture, lifestyle, and long-term hair health, so you leave feeling aligned, confident, and genuinely cared for.
